“Everything rises and falls on leadership!” Following a path few have taken, Jason Walker excelled in the Naval Nuclear Power Program before accepting an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he graduated with Distinction in 1994 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering.
While at USNA, Jason’s leadership talent was tested, proven, and further developed as he served in several key leadership positions responsible for developing plebes and his peers. His sincere desire to draw out the greatest potential of others contributed significantly to the continued refining of his innate ability to build cohesive, high-performance teams.
Upon commissioning, Jason answered the call and joined the ranks of “The Few. The Proud. The Marines.” Finishing in the top of his class at The Basic School, he chose to serve as an Infantry Officer with Light Armored Reconnaissance in 29 Palms, CA where his teams thrived and were selected for special missions. In Operations, he planned and coordinated complex maneuver exercises for the 550-man, 150-vehicle organization.
The Marine Corps then selected Jason to lead a ceremonial team at the prestigious Marine Barracks, 8th & I, in Washington, DC. He then transferred internally to the Marine Corps Institute and successfully led teams of civilian and military personnel to develop paper- and web-based distance learning courses, in addition to improving office communications and project management effectiveness.
After 11½ years of faithful service, Jason made his most difficult decision and transitioned to the corporate sector in 2000. He began his civilian career as an E-Commerce Delivery Manager, where he combined his engineering and leadership skills to cultivate cohesive cross-functional teams that successfully tackled challenging projects and quickly earned the respect of his teams, clients, peers, and executives.
Jason later applied his leadership and knowledge to the Financial Services industry, where he quickly earned his Series 7 and 24 licenses, and became the Approving Principal. Cultivating a cohesive, high-performance team, he helped lead the 12 office organization through a major transition and unprecedented growth in its 20+ year history.
Jason started his business in 2002 and continues developing cohesive, high-performance teams for organizations spanning various industries. He affiliated with Academy Leadership in 2008 to utilize their world-class leadership development programs to improve his clients’ effectiveness.
Jason resides in Winter Garden, FL with his wife, Nancy, and their two boys.
